On Monday evening, the night before the team left Japan, we remembered the blessings of God by going out for a celebration dinner at a local Japanese restaurant. The next morning we met to debrief our time in Japan and to pray for each other, for the people we met and the needs we learned about. How did God bless us?
- He kept us safe and healthy through much travel (by train and on foot), new experiences and some LONG days.
- The team got along great and we had very little conflict or difficulty. We attributed this to the fact that many people were praying for us.
- We saw God bless our activities beyond what we expected, giving us unique opportunities to meet and talk with a wide variety of people: Missionaries, Japanese pastors and Christians, and Japanese who are not yet Christians.
- We came face to face with the tremendous needs in Japan, but also saw God at work in the lives of vibrant and joyful Japanese believers.
God touched each one of our lives, and in just 10 days made us a family. Each team member is considering seriously how they can be involved in reaching Japanese, so please pray:
- For each team member as they process what they learned about themselves, about God and about the needs of the Japanese.
- For each person as they consider what is next in their journey of obedience to Jesus' Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
- For God to confirm His calling for each one, and then to make a way to get involved in reaching Japanese.
THANK YOU for praying for us!
